McIndoes Reservoir : ウィキペディア英語版 | McIndoes Reservoir
McIndoes Reservoir is a impoundment on the Connecticut River located on the boundary between Vermont and New Hampshire in northern New England. The dam forming the reservoir connects the communities of McIndoe Falls, Vermont and Monroe, New Hampshire. When the roadway re-opens, the Monroe Road will again connect to the Frazier Road, linking U.S. Highway 5 in Vermont with NH Route 135. Until then, the nearest river crossing is a bridge, carrying the Barnet Road, north. McIndoes Falls Dam creating the reservoir was built in 1931 as a project of the New England Electric System, along with the nearby Frank D. Comerford Dam.〔http://www.northcountrynhstories.org/story_Fran_Lavoie.html〕 McIndoes' power plant has a capacity of 11 megawatts. Both dams are now owned and operated by TransCanada Corporation.〔http://www.transcanada.com/docs/About_Us/ConnectDeerplant.pdf〕 ==See also==
